Before embarking on the design of an industrial workspace cooling project, it important to understand that there are two basic approaches that satisfy the objective of eliminating the heat stress off the workers. Spot Cooling and Space Cooling.
The difference between the two approaches differs in initial & operating cost and its selection also depends on the constraints imposed on by the workspace conditions. The recommended criteria of selecting either one is listed below.
Spot cooling cools only where it is really needed. That way, you can save in minimizing the capital layout.
Space cooling covers the whole space where overall temperature reduction is needed. Space cooling also creates opportunity for a positive pressure workspace.
